The PMC Awards celebrate the individuals, institutions, and partners whose dedication has shaped weather, climate, hydrology, and related environmental services across the Pacific. Held during the 8th Pacific Meteorological Council Meeting (PMC-8) in Nuku'alofa, Kingdom of Tonga, the Awards Ceremony honours this legacy and inspires the next generation of Pacific professionals in these fields.

Nominations are invited across six award categories:

1. Lifetime Award - honouring legacy, mentorship, and founding contributions

2. Long Service Award - recognising sustained dedication over many years

3. National Development Award - celebrating NMHS institutional growth and capacity

4. Outstanding Individual / Group Contribution Award - for exceptional service, leadership, and engagement

5. Innovation & Research Contribution Award - advancing science, technology, and traditional knowledge

6. Regional Contribution Award - recognising partner and agency investment at the regional level
