30 November 2023 – Luganville, Vanuatu - Vanuatu’s felt the full force of nature when severe tropical Cyclone Lola hit the northern and central regions of the country last week, leaving two dead and a path of devastation in its wake. This unfortunate climate-related event underscores precisely why access to accurate, up-to-date information about Vanuatu's climate is so important.
The following climate information services tools and services were developed by the Vanuatu Climate Information Services for Resilient Development Planning (VanKIRAP) project with funding support from the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
PICOF-4 was held at Tanoa International Hotel, Nadi, Fiji 10-12 October 2018. The forum brought together national, regional and international experts from the Climate Science and Services sectors.

04 October 2023, Port Vila, Vanuatu - Rain or shine, weather data is collected daily all over Vanuatu by a network of weather observers from Vanuatu’s national meteorological service, the Vanuatu Meteorology and Geo-hazards Department (VMGD).
29 September 2023, Port Vila, Vanuatu – A significant expansion of the climate information dissemination network in Vanuatu is being celebrated with the newly inaugurated Community Climate Centres launched in Lakatoro, Malekula, and Saratamata, Ambae.
