The OSCAR Technical Workshop and Community Outreach Week," held in Efate from 3 to 7 November 2025, successfully translated complex climate science into practical advice, directly benefiting rural communities in their fight against climate variability and change.

A groundbreaking new report for the Vanuatu Meteorology and Geo-Hazards Department (VMGD) through the Green Climate Fund-supported Climate Information Services for Resilient Development Planning Project (VanKIRAP) confirms that investing in better climate and weather information is one of the most effective strategies for protecting Vanuatu’s economy and communities from the escalating impacts of climate change.
